Trailer for ‘Gilda’ (1946)

I had a severe obsession with Rita Hayworth for a few summers. Gilda remains one of her favorites of mine. She had a weird sort of sex appeal.
What sticks with me also is the extensive work done on her appearance to make her look less Mexican and more white. Painful electrolysis for hair removal to make her forehead look bigger.
